Choosing The Right Sunscreen For You

Here at Oasis Beauty we’ve been making Oasis Sun SPF 30 for over 10 years.  We formulated it to offer effective sun protection; be easy to apply and nice to wear and, importantly, to be suitable for those with sensitive skin.  And we know many of you love it, but customer feedback is really important to us and some of you had been asking us for a sunscreen that was water resistant.  Others wanted an SPF 50 sunscreen.

So we wanted to make you happy with some more choices which is why we’ve now launched two completely new formulations using innovative new sunscreen ingredients - Oasis Sun Sport SPF 40 and Oasis Sun Ultra 50+.  Sure, it’s taken us a little while, well, a couple of years to be precise. But formulating a sunscreen specifically for sensitive skin is a real challenge and we wanted to get it right.

But how do you choose the right one for you?  Well, the answer is it depends on you, what you’re doing on a particular day and what you want from a sunscreen.  Here’s a quick guide to help you.

OASIS SUN SPF 30

For daily use, off to work, running errands, popping out for lunch

Why:  It provides great daily SPF30 protection, is non-greasy, dries matte, is a perfect makeup primer, wont block pores and feels gorgeous on your skin.

OASIS SUN SPORT SPF40

For splashing about in the water and the sportspeople amongst you

Why:  It’s water and sweat resistant for up to two hours.  Its dry touch feel means no greasy hands.  And its innovative new generation sunscreen ingredients mean you can protect your assets while splashing about in the surf.

OASIS SUN ULTRA SPF50+

For those super sunny days when you just want that little extra protection

Why:  Put simply this offers the highest UV protection.  So if you’re very fair or just want that extra reassurance for those summer days on the beach, this is the one to choose.

And remember, whichever of our sunscreens you use, apply it liberally about 20 minutes before sun exposure.  Don’t rub it in completely – let it sink in. Reapply every 2 – 3 hours or after swimming.
